His first job was a shoot for Robert Amatruda & Associates, a popular Los Angeles based modeling and acting company, who manages act, models, photographers and others of the industry. Blake Yoon, Macias and his wife Maria Macias have lived in Los Angeles and New York. He is originally from Hawaii, although he has spent most of his time on the mainland. Blake Yoon, Macias went to NYU and studied business and law with the intent to go into the modeling business and to fight scams, cons and other types of confidence crimes through using the DLSE, City Hall and other resources. His first term-paper was called "SCAM BAM or Scams for booking actors and models"; Booking actors and models was a look inside the darker side of the modeling scene with interviews with models, scouts, agents and more. Since Blake has been in the modeling business he has seen that it has cleaned up a lot. "It used to be hard to find a reliable company but now it is easier. I use Robert Amatruda & Associates because they are reliable and they find good jobs."
